Digital Clay- Layer Styles & More

Why should kids have all the fun?

Why not get crafty too and create some authentic, clay-based designs? They’ll fool your audience into thinking you’ve spent ages sculpting and photographing actual clay models! Although commonly associated with children’s design, these effects offer fantastic texture and depth for all kinds of projects – try them out on your own ideas today!

The pack contains all of these fantastic components:

21 Clay Layer Styles Styles:

These work with one easy click! You can apply them to text as well as bitmap and vector shapes. They can be used for backgrounds too. The shadows, pattern size and depth can be adjusted individually after application. To create your own colors, simply apply a clipped adjustment layer.

In addition to the styles I’ve included a set of undulating clay edge actions. You can use this to give an even more realistic edge to your clay object.

Clay Imprint Effect:

After you’ve set your styles you can add depth, detail and extra realism by drawing and marking your clay. Take a look at page 2 of the preview to see this in full effect. This consists of a layer style, which you can apply to a bitmap shape, text or vector object, or apply the style to an empty layer and just draw.

Clay Repeat Patterns:

These can be seen in action in the styles but I’ve also supplied them separately so you can use them to fill areas independently. They are 3000 x 3000 pixels in size.

Example Files:

Pages one, two, three and four of the previews are included.

Instructions

A very thorough guide on how to load, apply and then edit the effects is supplied.

Please note! This is compatible with Photoshop CS5, CS6 and CC only.
