Marquetry is the art and craft of applying pieces of wood veneer to structures to form ornamental patterns or designs. It’s an artistic practice that has personal significance to me as my Grandfather made beautiful pictures in this way. I’d never seen a digital design that used marquetry so I decided to create a product that would give designers the opportunity to incorporate beautiful veneer patterns into their work… and here it is!
The patterns are excellent for backgrounds and if applied to text they demand attention. They’d look great on almost any project – apparel, stationary, greeting cards, wrapping paper and so much more.
Here’s what’s included in the pack:
- 10 seamless repeat patterns contained in a .PAT file.
- 10 JPGs each containing a 5000 x 5000 pixel section of each applied pattern.
- A very thorough guide on how to load, and apply the patterns is supplied.
